Whether you want to go out for a casual meal, get together a group of friends for a celebration or hold a more formal function, our restaurant at The Honest Lawyer is the perfect spot. We offer an extensive menu of Kiwi fare with English flair, and pride ourselves in sourcing fresh, local produce wherever possible, taking advantage of the wonderful array of produce our sunny climate yields. The Restaurant opens for Breakfast from 8am, and food is available until 8.30pm in the evening. The Snack Menu is available throughout the day, and our Lunch and Dinner Menus change with the seasons. Dine by the fire in the winter, or outside in the sun on our lawn overlooking the Waimea Estuary when the weather suits. Our Summer menu is now available
Debate your way through our new "Opening Arguments" with dishes like Panfried Nelson Scallops, Salt & Sichuan Pepper Squid and the famous "Barristers Seafood Chowder" to name a few. "Get to the Main Point" with our new Steak & Guinness Hot Pot, Mac's Gold Beer Battered Fish & Chips (pictured) or try D's latest Lamb Shank dish. Why not choose a beverage to compliment your meal? We have a choice of 13 beers on tap, including imported beers from the UK such as Guinness, Bass or Boddingtons, and also stock the local Macs range. We have a full range of bottled beers and an extensive wine list comprising a selection of excellent local red and white wines. Our dining room is available for small functions, or you can hire the Banquet Room for Weddings & Conferences.
